Digital platform to build meaningful mentorships and accelerate learning through guided relationships
Mentor Connector was a nonprofit platform developed to connect mentors and learners around shared goals, projects, and values.
Conceived as a follow-up to community-infrastructure projects such as CARIN, it attempted to give the mentorship process more structure while preserving its organic and relational character.
The platform provided profile-based matching tools, a social-content layer, and group-learning environments. It included mentor and learner profiles, asynchronous article publishing, project pathways, and regular live discussion sessions intended to support collaborative learning.
The system was built using WordPress and MemberPress, with administrative dashboards and onboarding documentation for both platform managers and participants.
Mentor Connector did not scale into a large mentor network. Recruiting and maintaining a sufficiently active group of experienced mentors remained a central constraint.
The platform did, however, support initial learning pilots, including a Systemic Entrepreneurship course developed in partnership with Jamie Keeling and Kerry Turner.
Much of this projects media was lost when my computer 'exploded' (some electrical short, computer was bricked instantly).
