Digital platform to build meaningful mentorships and accelerate learning through guided relationships
Mentor Connector was a nonprofit platform developed to connect mentors and learners around shared goals, projects, and values. Conceived as a follow-up to community infrastructure projects like CARIN, it aimed to systematize the mentorship process while preserving its organic, relational nature.
The platform provided personalized matching tools, a social content layer, and group learning environments. It featured mentor and learner profiles, asynchronous article publishing, project pathways, and regular live discussion sessions to foster collaborative learning.
Despite challenges in scaling its mentor network, Mentor Connector led to the successful launch of pilot programs, including a Systemic Entrepreneurship course in partnership with Jamie Keeling and Kerry Turner. The platform helped learners build skills, develop projects, and gain meaningful personal guidance, reinforcing the importance of mentorship as a core component of educational reform.
